An over part (5) is operated by hot ambient air, and has a device (6) for accommodation of the plastic vessels (3) with their opening (7) pointing downwards. This device comprises a support frame (8) in the form of a large grid (8) with upright pins (10) and under the support frame is a sieve grid (11) and a catchment bath (12) for the moulten residual material (4). A built-on disintegrator (24) with a filling funnel (25) is provided, with a shredder-type disintegration mechanism (26) for the plastic vessels (3). Above the over part (5) is arranged a suction device with a fan and a vapour withdrawal connection for connecting to a vapour withdrawal tube (33).
