Arrangement for sealing the end face (9) of a mixing drum (1), esp. in a unit for simultaneous mixing and moisture addition to powder or granules materials, has a stationary inlet housing (2) and a rotatable mixing drum (1,9,6) A backing ring (5) is perpendicularly arranged on the inlet housing (2), a ring form pressure element (3) is attached to the backing ring (5) via spring bolts (8) with spring washers (4) placed between the backing ring and the pressure element (3). The pressure element (3) has a circular recess on its front face in which rests a seal packing ring (7) urged along the inlet housing (2) and with its rear face lying on the end face (9) of the drum (1).
