Airjet spinning frame reducing hairiness of yarn - applies false twist and friction to yarn by passing through two surfaces under pressure and forces protruding fibre ends into the yarn body
Equipment spins yarn while applying false twist and friction. The yarn is taken through two surfaces under pressure which are designed to apply friction. Sliver is fed into the input through a funnel tube and drawn into a drafting zone, which has drafting rollers and aprons. The yarn is produced from an airjet with false twist and guided through the rollers. It is then taken over a rubber covered roller which is driven in the appropriate direction and speed. An endless belt or apron is mounted diagonally above the roller with a drive for the two rollers holding the apron. Pressure on the apron with yarn between it and the roller may have Z direction twist at this point. Additional twist in the same direction ensures that protruding fibre ends are pressed into the body of the yarn improving the quality. The yarn is tested for continuity and may also be cleared by devices. It is then crosswound on to the reel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used to coerce the fibre ends which protrude from the yarn back into the main body of the twist giving a smooth surface and improving the quality of the yarn
