The frame is made up of a boom (C) which has a triangular base, the apex of the triangle being connected to the rotating column (B) and thus to the foot (A). Inclined upwards from the base of the triangle is the base (F) for the rectangular seat (G). Part way along the length of the boom is a housing containing a spring (D). This housing has a support which fully surrounds and holds a pivot shaft (E) along the base. A central holder keeps the housing in place on the boom. ADVANTAGE - As well as swivelling the chair is capable of tipping due to the inclined boom. Most of the parts can be made of plastics.
