The invention relates to a method for laying foundations consisting of the installation of pillars placed in wells dug in the ground and anchored into concrete plinths. In accordance with the invention, a concrete filled with steel fibres is used around the lower part of the pillar in order to take up the very high loads transmitted by the reduced cross section of the pillar to the huge cross section of the foundation concrete.
