Biodegradable film containing an alkanoyl polymer/PVA blend and method of making same

A biodegradable thermoplastic film is disclosed comprising a blend of an alkanoyl polymer and polyvinyl alcohol. The film can be stretched providing opacity and enhancing its biodegradability.
