Quinacridone solid solutions having unique styling applications

This invention relates to quinacridone solid solutions containing PP(a) 95% to 5% by weight of 2,9- dimethoxyquinacridone, and (b) 5% to 95% by weight of 2,9- dichloroquinacridone, characterized by X- ray diffraction patterns that are different from the sum of the X-ray diffraction patterns of the individual quinacridone components. The invention further relates to the use of such solid solutions for pigmentation of fibers, plastics, coatings, printing inks, and the like.
