PURPOSE:To facilitate cleaning around the underside of an automobile, by providing a carrier associated with a discharge nozzle which runs in parallel with a car washer, then running said carrier at the underside of the automobile while interlocking with the car washer and discharging water through the discharge nozzle toward the bottom face of a body. CONSTITUTION:Upon start of car washing operation, side brushes 5, 5' of a car washer 1 approach each other, while a motor 17 is driven to reciprocate the car washer body 1 and a carrier 12. The side brushes 5, 5' contact against the front face of body as the car washer body 1 runs, and a switch means detects said contact to stop running of them 1, 12, then the side brushes 5, 5 ' are opened to perform cleaning on the front face of the body. When they 1, 12 run again, a water sucking section 19 of an underside cleaning device operates to discharge water or cleaning liquid through the nozzle 14 so as to start cleaning on the bottom face of the body. Cleaning on the bottom face of the body is stopped upon detection of arrival of the car washer body 1 to the rear end of the body.
