PURPOSE:To perform simply and exactly transporting of block materials by a method wherein a ship-shaped bottom part of a storing tank is oscillated in the lateral direction by a predetermined angle in respect to a vertical side wall of the storing housing storing the storing tank and the upper end edge of the ship-shaped bottom part is always positioned outwardly from the lower end edge of the vertical side wall. CONSTITUTION:A storing tank 18 for use in storing and discharging or transporting block materials is arranged within a storing housing 16 so as to construct a stocker. The storing tank 18 is constructed by a plurality of vertical side walls 26a, 26b and a ship-shaped bottom part 28 having a plurality of flat surfaces 28a inclined in a valley-shape. In turn, a horizontally extending shaft 42 is arranged at a bottom part of the storing tank 16, thereby the central lower part of the ship-shaped bottom part 28 is pivotally supported by the shaft 42. A proper driving means 44 is connected to an outside surface of the ship-shaped bottom part 28 and the ship-shaped bottom part 28 is oscillated in the lateral direction only by a predetermined angle in respect to the vertical side wall 26a. At this time, the upper end edge of the ship- shaped bottom part 28 is always positioned outward of the lower end edge of the vertical side wall 26a so as to prevent the block material 20 from being flowed out of the device.
