PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of opening and to prevent floating of a weather strip and leak of water, by a method wherein a material having a high contraction factor is situated to the inner part of a seal lip, and a material having a low contraction factor is situated to the outer part thereof to form double structure. CONSTITUTION:Rigid rubber layers 4a and 5a, having a high contraction factor, are formed to an inside part 1b of a weather strip body 1a and the inner sides of seal lips 4 and 5, with which engaging grooves 2 and 3 are formed. Soft rubber layers 4b and 5b having a low contraction factor are formed to the outer parts thereof to form double structure. A mating panel is nipped by means of the seal lips by virtue of a difference in a contraction factor, and opening, floating of the weather strip, and water leak are prevented from occurring.
