PURPOSE: To provide a process for the production of an antibody having excellent titer as well as specificity to human plasma-type glutathione peroxidase, provide a method for an immunochemical determination of the human plasma- type glutathione peroxidase using the antibody and provide a tissue-staining method. ;CONSTITUTION: An anti-human plasma-type glutathione peroxidase-specific antibody having high specificity and titer is obtained by purifying a glutathione peroxidase originated from human plasma by conventional method, further purifying the enzyme by passing through a carrier bounded with the anti-human serum antibody and immunizing an animal with the peroxidase. The antibody is labeled to determine the content of a human plasma-type glutahione peroxidase in a specimen by immunochemical essay or used in tissue staining.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
