PURPOSE: To enhance measurement accuracy and reduce cost by calculating the weight of earth and sand in a bucket based on a bottom pressure of a cylinder which swings the bucket vertically and, what is more, estimating its weight and detecting the amount of earth and sand to be transported for one day. ;CONSTITUTION: A bucket position arithmetic operation section 15 of a controller 14 is designed to calculate the position of a bucket 9 and correct the computed value based on a car body slanting angle of a car body clinometer 16. Then, the bottom pressure of a boom cylinder 6 is continuously measured. The pressure before and after a period of time before a specified time is measured from the time when a bucket dump signal is input and its mean value is specified as a bottom pressure of the cylinder 6. Then, the weight of earth and sand in the bucket 9 is calculated based on the bottom pressure and the bucket position. This weight is estimated consecutively at an estimation section 31 and finally it is turned in a total weight of earth and sand loaded in dump trucks for one day.
