CARPENTRY TEACHING AID FOR TECHNICAL COURSE

摘要

PURPOSE: To deepen the understanding on the structure and grain of wood and the method and type of plate formation by splitting a nearly cylindrical log material in the cylinder axial direction, and removing the opposite peripheral face in parallel with the halved section to provide a longitudinal section. ;CONSTITUTION: A carpentry teaching aid is roughly constituted of a halved shape of a nearly cylindrical log material at nearly the center section in the cylinder axial direction and a longitudinal section 2 provided on the opposite face in parallel with a halved section 1. It is most suitable for students to learn that the halved section 1 is a wood back and the longitudinal section 2 is a wood front via the comparison of the halved section 1 and the longitudinal section 2. The grain of the halved section 1 is the same as the grain of the regularly-grained wood, and it is most suitable for students to observe the halved section 1 side of this teaching aid and to learn the difference between a core material and a peripheral material from the grain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
