PURPOSE: To enable free input operation by passengers except a driver while setting a prescribed restriction to the input operation by the driver by restricting the input operation from an input operation part for main operation to a prescribed extent when it is detected that a vehicle is in a traveling state. ;CONSTITUTION: A main control part 7 is provided on the dash board part of a driver's seat and auxiliary operation parts 81-83 having a function same as the main operation part 7 are provided on a passenger's seat side or the like. Then, an operation control part 9 is provided, it is detected that the vehicle is in the traveling state by receiving pulse signals from a vehicle speed sensor 1 and a signal LS for restricting to a prescribed extent the input operation at the main operation part 7 at the time of the detection is supplied to a signal processing part 3. The signal processing part 3, among the various kinds of operation instructions inputted from the main operation part 7, and does not receive the operation instruction requiring data retreival at the time of setting the departure point and the destination of the vehicle on a road map or selectively displaying auxiliary information such as sightseeing guidance or the like on a screen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
