PURPOSE: To obtain a method by which cracks can be easily discovered from part of a reinforced concrete structure dipped in seawater. ;CONSTITUTION: When the cracking spot of a reinforced concrete structure 1 is diagnosed by the method, an electrode 4 is positioned opposed to the surface 3 of the structure dipped in seawater. Then a DC current is made to flow between the electrode 4 and a reinforcing bar 2 buried in the structure 1 by using the electrode 4 as an anode and bar 2 as a cathode so that an electrodeposited substance composed mainly of magnesium can be precipitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
