METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPTIMIZING HEURISTIC INSTRUCTION SCHEDULING BASED ON A COST FOR PIPE LINE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE: To obtain a method and device for optimizing heuristic instruction scheduling based on a cost for a pipeline processor which is especially used for compiling a time instruction schedule after generating a code. ;CONSTITUTION: The instruction scheduling is optimized by deciding an optimum weight used for a device for heuristic instruction scheduling based on a cost for the specific pipeline processor. The optimum weight is decided based on the lowest one of a lowest cost weighted by the gathering of mutually related weight sets. Each gathering of the mutually related weight sets is provided with a randomly generated first weight set and a following mutually correlated weight set which is generated by a prescribed manner. The prescribed manner for generating the following weight sets facilitates the speedy identification of the optimum weight set for the gathering to facilitate the speedy identification of whole the optimum weight with respect to the gathering of them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
