PURPOSE: To obtain a Ti-Al-base lightweight heat resistant alloy excellent in oxidation resistance at high temp. by specifying a composition consisting of Al, Ta, Mo, and Ti. ;CONSTITUTION: This alloy is a Ti-Al-base lightweight heat resistant alloy consisting of, by mass, 35.5-40% Al, 0.5-3.0% Ta, 0.5-3.0% Mo, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. In this alloy, oxidation resistance at a temp. as high as ≥ about 800°C, is improved by combinedly adding Ta and Mo. Moreover, by regulating the addition quantities of these Ta and Mo to small values, the cost and specific gravity of the resulting heat resistant alloy can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
