PROCESS FOR RECOVERING BIOGAS ARISING FROM ORGANIC MATERIALS OF RUBBISH DIMPS

Optimum extraction of biogas from organic matter contained in waste dumps is achieved by insulating these and by moistening the segregated contents. Effluent sludge contg. 70-80 % water is added to organic waste, or 10-20 vol. % of biochemically similar industrial or agricultural waste is added to effluent sludge. - Vertical hollow dividers section the waste dopant. Dividers are filled with porous matter to ensure that the sequence rate should increase in downwards direction, thus ensuring constraint 50-60% moisture level throughout the whole depth of the deposit. Water, that seeps through is collected at the bottom, to be recirculated and any excess removed.
