The extractor consists essentially of two parts - a basin (9) in which the products are placed to be liquidised and containing the shredding or centrifugal devices for obtaining the juice; and the second part is the lid (II) which has a large handle (8) connected at the ends to the part (7) covering the cylindrical housing for the electric motor. The handle (8) has a right angle in its upper section for use as a lever to make it easier to achieve a tighter seal between the basin (9) and the lid (11). When the lid (11) is closed, the handle (8) also activates a microswitch at the same time to connect the electrical supply for starting the extractor and, alternatively, to stop the extractor when the lid (11) is opened.
