ABSTRACTRetroperfusion control apparatus for supplying arteri-al blood of a patient to the venous side of thepatient's heart including a pump having an inlet andan outlet and a piston movable through a pump strokefor moving a liquid from the inlet to the outlet ofthe pump. A stepper motor is provided which drivesthe piston. Electronic circuitry is provided fordriving the stepper motor and senses the presence ofan R wave in a patient to operate the stepper motor inresponse to the sensed R wave.
