Damping viscoelastic resin, damping adhesive and composite made of them and steel plates

A viscoelastic resin usable for a damping material, adamping adhesive and a sandwich type damping steel plate constituted of steel plates and a viscoelastic resin layer sandwiched between the steel plates are disclosed.The viscoelastic resin is produced by reacting a diiso­cyanate, dicarboxylic acid or diamine with a base polymer selected from the group consisting of a polyester produced by reacting a dicarboxylic acid with a diol of the formula,HO - R - OHwhere R is an alkylene group which has at least one straight and/or branched alkyl side chain containing from 3 to 10 carbon atoms and of which the main chain connect­ing the two OH groups has from 3 to 12 carbon atoms and a polyurethane produced by reacting said diol with a diisocyanate.
