The housing main part and the filter housing are of one-piece construction or sepd. and the filter housing is closed or is closable by a cover. The housing main part is provided with at least one input and output channel for the fluid to be filtered and possibly further functional units, such as valves, seals, bearings or similar. The housing main part (1) is formed as a hollow basic part (7) and in its interior is connected to a function module (8). The function module is of one-part or multiple-part structure and is releasable in its connection with the housing main part (3). It can be composed of various individual modules for control, cooling and/or electronics. The filter housing (5) is fitted with an exchangeable filter module (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - A lubricating oil filter for an i/c engine whose construction is cost-favourable and simple, permitting an exchange of functionally necessary individual parts.
