The protection method involves having the radar station (10) detect an airborne vehicle (13) which is engaging it and then having the protected station transmit its radar beam towards the vehicle from a nearby spoof location (12) at a safe distance from the station. The radar beam can be transmitted towards the spoof location from which it is reflected towards the engaging vehicle. Alternatively, the radar signal can be conducted to the spoof location which then transmits it towards the engaging vehicle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ensures high degree of safety for radar stations against anti radar missiles at supportable cost.
