On=line real=time simultaneous display of digital signals and surface using RISC processor for determn. of bearing - using palette to read out colour data, testing if first colour data lies in first memory, and, if not, displaying second colour on screen to generate composite image
The system has a graphics processor (1), microprocessor (2), video memory (3), palette (4), data and program memory (5), interfaces (6-8) and a bus communication structure (9). The parameters for display are entered via one interface (6) and graphics vectors processed together with colour information for each point. The graphics vectors are gated (33) into a k-bit deep memory area (31). The digital signal data is entered via a second interface (7) into memory (5), and is combined by the microprocessor with the vector information and stored in a second level (32). The complete image is represented on the screen using signals gated (34) through the palette (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - On-line changes of graphics display. Used in bearing location system, topographic display, chemical processing, storage, feed and discharge, valve, reaction vessels etc. in mfr. of chemical products.
