Environmentally friendly, mineral organic substrate for greening of flat and sloping roof surfaces and horizontal surfaces of walls, esp. soundproofing walls, comprises (a) broken clay roof slates of varying particle sizes from 0-64 mm, interspersed with (b) composed. The substrate also contains a binding agent. The substrate is prepd. by shredding components (a) and (b), sieving the components, mixing the components, adding a binder, and pressing the substrate into plates. ADVANTAGE - The substrate has high water retention capacity, high frost resistance, and is easy to prepare.
