The access gate (1) includes an access opening in which a blocking device or rotating cross is inserted. An adjacent access opening suitable for pushing a bicycle through, is formed by a cage-type component (4). This opening has door elements (5) on both ends which can be electrically bolted. The door elements are coupled such that the fore door (in the direction of access) can only be opened when the rear door is closed and bolted, and vice versa, and when a person passes through the access gate and/or access authorisation is proved. ADVANTAGE - Allows passage of vehicles or authorised people without impairing security of access.
