The method is for impregnating a sewer pipe lagging with a plastics resin. The lagging comprises an inner sheet and an outer sheet encapsulating a glass fibre mesh. The unimpregnated lagging is introduced into the sewer pipe with blocking ends placed at either end of the lagging. The lagging is then inflated and the resin unit placed at one end in the space between the layer sheet. A vacuum pump is then arranged at the other end of the lagging and operated to draw the resin through the glass fibre mesh. Curing of the resin occurs by applying an energy source. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ensures full impregnation of glass mesh with plastics resin for lagging of sewer pipe, and avoids shrinkage.
