The mounting unit includes a desk top plate (1) having a location hole (2) that provides a location for a support used with the monitor unit of a computer. The hole is fitted with a bush (3) having a centre stud (4) with a threaded stem. A cylindrical tubular pillar (12) with a flange (8) is secured to the desk top using the stem. Insert into the top end of the pillar is a ball bearing support (14) for a coupling flange (18), which support a mounting unit (19) for the monitor. The mounting unit consists of a pair of plates (21,22) with an insert. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple means of locating monitor support.
