Flywheel for transferring drive forces in IC engines - has main rotator for transferring drive force and separate secondary rotator for reducing rotary variations with damping masses protected from heat.
The flywheel (20) has a main rotator (3) for transferring the drive force and a sec. rotator (10) enclosing the damping masses (12). The pendulum motion of the sec. rotator allows a redn. in the rotary variations. The two rotators are provided independently of each other and are connected together in one piece. A radially inner section (10A) has a reduced stiffness in the axial directions opposite a section (10b) including the damping masses (12) of the sec. rotator. The damping masses are provided in a radially outer position adjoining an outer circumference of the main rotator. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flywheel transferring drive forces of IC engine gives improved service life at high temp. without increased prodn. costs.
