The battery set housing (83) is built into the main body of a data processor which uses a standard type of battery as its standard battery set and has the same shape, insertion mechanism and connectors as the standard battery set. A main Lithium-ion battery body is built into the housing with a second type of battery with a different charge/discharge characteristic from the standard battery type. The charging and discharging of the main battery are controlled by a circuit (84) in the housing according to the difference between the two types of battery. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in data processing machine capable of portable operation. Enables long-term operation of data processor during battery-powered operation without essentially modifying main body or design.
