The invention concerns a telemetry transmitter system with a transmitter unit (7-13) and a microprocessor (3). In order to avoid the need to keep large stocks of telemetry transmitters, the telemetry transmitter system of the invention is designed so that the transmitter unit (7-13) has a frequency-control device (7) and an oscillator (9), and the microprocessor (3) is connected to a frequency-input device (1) which generates a control code for the frequency-control device only from certain permitted transmitter frequencies. The code is registered in a non-volatile memory (4) by the microprocessor (3) which, when it is switched on, reads the control code out of the non-volatile memory (4) and feeds it to the frequency-control device (7).
