The control of a stirrer is carried out by means of a drive shaft in two parts (24, 26) connected by a magnetic coupling (28). A leakproof casing (48) is placed between the two parts (30, 34) of this coupling and carries the driven part (26) of the drive shaft by means of a smooth bearing (66). The lubrication of this bearing is ensured by the liquid mixture to be stirred, by virtue of a helical groove (68) formed on the driven part. The assembly is demountable and comprises a first subassembly comprising in particular the motor and the driving part (24) of the shaft, and a second subassembly comprising in particular the driven part (26) of the shaft, the stirrer and the leakproof casing.
