Micro-wave transmitter/receiver for non-destructive testing of composite dielectric and plastic materials - Transmits a hyper frequency wave in hollow tube and reflection is passed through coaxial cable to measuring unit
The non-destructive tester consists of a coaxial cable(1) which via an aerial(5) transmits a hyper frequency wave into a metallic tube(4) which sends the wave to an radiating opening(6). The latter(6) transmits the wave in the direction of the material to be tested(7) and receives the reflected wave. A contact and focusing shoe(8) can be fitted on the opening. The coaxial connector is connected to the measuring unit(3) which generates the wave and analyses the resulting reflected signal, by a flexible coaxial cable(2). USE/ADVANTAGE - For quality control and checking working condition o material samples, natural dielectric materials and to detect foreign bodies in low density dielectric mediums.
