The calipers (BCFR,BCFL) and (BCR) brake the front and rear wheels respectively. The hand lever (L) operates a master cylinder (Mc1), and the pedal (P) operates the master cylinder (Mc2). The auxiliary master cylinder (Ms) is operated by the pressure in the front wheel calipers, and also receives pressure from the rear wheel master cylinder (Mc2). The pressure control valve (Cv) is interposed between the auxiliary master cylinder and the rear wheel caliper, and reduces the pressure from the auxiliary master cylinder, feeding the reduced pressure to the rear caliper. The valve (Cv) has a multiplier actuated by the pressure from the master cylinder (Mc2) in order to modify the max. reduced braking pressure transmitted as the result of the energising of the second master cylinder (Mc2), from the control valve (Cv) to the rear caliper (BCR) of the rear wheel (Wr). ADVANTAGE - The split of braking force between the front and rear wheels is optimised, so that the chance of a rear wheel's locking under hard braking is reduced.
