The atomiser consists of a barrel (1) through which atmospheric air is driven by a fan and motor (2), and an atomiser nozzle (17) inside the barrel which is fed simultaneously with compressed air and the liquid disinfectant product, delivered by a pump (23) from a container (22). The barrel is pivoted about an axis (5) and is driven in an alternating rotary motion by means of an actuator (9) to create a sweeping motion. The barrel is set on a mobile support (7) such as a trolley, which carries the actuator (9), the container (22) and pump (23). The fan and motor are situated at the rear of the barrel, and the actuator (9) can be in the form of a two-way power cylinder which is controlled by adjustable end sensors. The nozzle (17) can be in the form of a central injector, fed by compressed air, surrounded by a peripheral liquid feed chamber, or an ultrasonic nozzle. ADVANTAGE - Produces fine mist or aerosol of disinfectant solution for area to be treated.
