Speed regulation process for self-propelled vehicle, e.g. railway vehicle - involves using measured speed to determine optimum settings for motor, clutch slip and braking
The speed regulation process involves using a set reference speed (VT), and controlling three operating parameters, such as the speed of the motor (R), the slip coefficient (E) of a clutch (7) and the braking coefficient (F) of a slowing device (12). The actual vehicle speed is measured (9) at a given time and compared (10) with the reference speed, and from this two analog signals are generated for upper and lower speed errors. These signals are used to determine optimum values for the three operating parameters. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ensures smooth motion of rail vehicle used for track cleaning or painting under all operating and environmental conditions.
