Each wall-mounting plate (10), carrying e.g. electrical equipment within a protective casing, has its longer edges (12) specifically designed to match the coupler bar (18) used when pairing is required. The bar flanges (19) increase in width, in discrete steps, towards the centre, and they fit into complementary recessed steps in the plate. The bar ends in transverse, support feet (20A), with vertical catches on their upper surfaces engaging, from below, in corner openings (15) in each plate. Flat horizontal wings (25A) mounted on longitudinal upstands (21) slip over the plate, clipping the feet in place. Further clips at intermediate points use longer feet (20B), hooking into recesses under the plate, with similar wings (25B) on the upstands.
