AGENT FOR PREVENTING ONSET OF ITCHINESS SYMPTOM AND ITCH-SUPPRESSING AGENT

PURPOSE: To obtain an agent for preventing and suppressing the onset of itchiness symptom by using eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid and 2- linolenic acid as main components. ;CONSTITUTION: This itchiness preventing agent contains 40±35wt.% of an oil and fat component containing at least one kind of highly unsaturated fatty acid, especially 15±10wt.% of eicosapentaenoic acid, 15±10wt.% of docosahexaenoic acid and 20±10wt.% of 2-linolenic acid. It can be used as a drug or a food material having itchiness improving effect. The food material can improve the safety, processability and activity of docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. It is continuously usable as a processed food for the treatment of itchiness, especially geriatricdiseases and hemorroids.
