PURPOSE: To obtain a frozen chrysanthemum flower capable of retaining the bright color and aroma as those of just steamed flower petals of a fresh chrysanthemum flower even during the preservation for a long period and usable in a state of the intact sheet in use without loosening the chrysanthemum flower. ;CONSTITUTION: This frozen and steamed chrysanthemum flower is obtained by freezing steamed chrysanthemum flower petals in the form of a spiral-shaped roll of a formed sheet. The spiral-shaped roll is prepared from a superposed synthetic resin film on a formed sheet of the steamed chrysanthemum flower petals and the chrysanthemum flower petals in a frozen state are preferably vacuum packaged with a packaging film. Furthermore, this method for producing the frozen and steamed chrysanthemum flower is to collect the chrysanthemum flower into a thin and flat form, steam or boil the resultant material, form the steamed or boiled material into a sheetlike form, superpose the obtained sheet on a synthetic resin film, roll the resultant laminate together into a spiral form and freeze the roll.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
