PURPOSE:To obtain a curable material having rapid curability and shock absorption and being lightweight by using 2-cyanoacrylate as a curable component and rubbery particles as an aggregate component. CONSTITUTION:A curable material wherein 2-cyanoacrylate is used as a curable component and rubbery particles are used as an aggregate component. Although highly purified 2-cyano-acrylate is cured within several seconds, the 2- cyanoacrylate itself is not necessarily highly pure because the rubbery particles especially a ground particulate waste rubber product exhibits a cure accelerating action. Even when low-cost 2-cyanoacrylate having a curing rate of the order of minutes is used, a practically nonproblematic rapid-curing material can be obtained. As an example of the ground particulate waste rubber product, a waste automobile tire is particularly important. A waste tire contains various additives which advantageously accelerate the cure of the 2-cyanoacrylate.
