PURPOSE: To enable downward transfer of balls with ease to a ball counter by forming a discharge port in each of two ball boxes stacked up on the ceiling of a pachinko machine, close to a discharge port of a lower dish. ;CONSTITUTION: A pachinko machine is provided with a space between its ceiling and a lower dish 110, for housing two ball boxes 10, one box placed on top of the other. Each ball box has a depressed part at its inner corner on the bottom with a circular arc cross section and in the circular wall 17 of the depressed part, a discharge port and a chutter lever 20 manually operable by a lever 50 to open and close the discharge are formed. With the discharge port kept closed by the shutter cover, the shutter cover is smoothly slidable along the circular wall 17 when 70 balls are stored in the box 10. When the discharge port is opened, the balls discharge grop into a ball receiving hopper 33 of a ball counter 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
