VIBRATION-PROOF METHOD OF STEEL STRUCTURE AND VIBRATION-PROOF STEEL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively prevent vibration and noise in the audible zone of a steel structure like rails or steel bridges. ;CONSTITUTION: A uni-directional reinforced fiber sheet is stuck on the surface of a steel member 10 constituting a steel structure so that the fiber direction coincides with the longitudinal direction of the steel member 10. Thereafter, the resin soaked in the fiber at one of the front and rear sides or both of them in the stuck sheet is cured to provide a vibration-proof material 11 made of fiber-reinforced composite resin materials. By use of the vibration-proof material 11 made of the fiber-reinforced composite resin material, it is made difficult to vibrate the steel member 10 and the oscillation in the audible zone in the order of several hundreds - several thousands Hz is absorbed, and hence, the vibration and the noise of a steel structure can be prevented and the method is made simple and inexpensive.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
