PURPOSE: To provide a converting device which can easily make latitudes and longitudes, and positions on the atlas correspond to each other and performs the conversion between the latitude and longitude and the information capable of specifying the optional position on the atlas. ;CONSTITUTION: The converting device 10, equipped with the atlas on which a map consisting of plural pages and having an optional position specified at every page, is entered, an input means 11 for inputting a latitude and a longitude, or an atlas position, a converting means CPU which converts the latitude and longitude, or atlas position inputted from the input means into an atlas position or a latitude and a longitude, and a display means 12 which displays the output signal of the converting means, performs the conversion between the latitude and longitude and the optional position on the atlas.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
