PURPOSE: To provide a device for efficiently developing highly reliable communication software by mechanically judging whether the specification of developed function can be reused for precisely realizing the specification of an addition function among the specifications of the developed function. ;CONSTITUTION: The specification of the function realizing addition service 11 which is added, is analyzed, and a graph 13 showing a state transition relation between the state and a signal generated at the time of executing a communication processing is generated by conversion 12. A function realizing an existed service group 14 which is developed is automatically retrieved, and a graph 16 showing the state transition relation consisting of the state and a signal generated at the time of executing the communication processing is generated by conversion 15. A similar value for calculating similarity between the graph 13 and the graph 16 is executed 17, and a calculated result 18 is outputted to a specification definition environment 19. The specification definition environment 19 selects the graph in order from the highest similarity and displays the service specification of the developed function corresponding to the graph. Thus, the developed functions which can be reused are shown to a person defining specification in order from that with high possibility of reuse.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
