PURPOSE: To provide a pharmaceutical composition effective for the treatment and prevention of opportunistic infection frequently occurring in an immunologically deficient state caused by lentivirus infection. ;CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition contains a protein belonging to unmodified transferrin-lactoferrin group. Opportunistic infection diseases frequently occurring in immunodeficiency caused by lentivirus infection can effectively be treated and prevented by administering the pharmaceutical composition by oral administration or topical application as an external agent.
