BACK-FILLING METHOD FOR EXCAVATED DITCH AND EARTH RETAINING MEMBER USED FOR IT

PURPOSE: To efficiently back-fill an excavated ditch and perform earth retention with an earth retaining member having a simple structure. ;CONSTITUTION: A plate-like air bag 1 dividing an excavated ditch 2 is installed in the excavated ditch 2 for burying a pipe 3, and a back-filling portion 4 is formed. The air bag 1 made of an elastic material such as rubber is installed at the desired position while air is exhausted, then air is filled to expand the air bag 1, and it is closely stuck to both side walls and the bottom face 11 of the excavated ditch 2 for earth retention. The fluidized soil 5 is poured into the back-filling portion 4 thus formed to back-fill the excavated ditch 2. The air bag 1 can be easily removed when the air is merely discharged after the fluidized soil 5 is solidified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
