摘要

The present invention relates to a method for producing an amorphous super hard material based on boron nitride which is sufficiently hard in the thickness of diamond. Until a melt of boron nitride is obtained, the hexagonal or turbojet type boron nitride is extruded under a pressure of 70 Kbar or more and heated to a temperature of 1650C or higher. The melt of boron nitride thus produced is quenched by quenching the heat supply, and the melt of the boron nitride releases the pressure. The hexavalent or turbojet type boron nitride used as a raw material is treated in the presence of a crystallization inhibitor so that crystals are not produced and the amorphous crystal structure is condensed by electrodeposition of a reaction product such as boron dioxide.
