The present invention relates to a system for cleaning, storing, conditioning and humidifying a solution for contact lens solutions and a rigid gas permeable contact lens and a method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system for cleaning, storing, conditioning, and moistening a hard gas permeable contact lens to effectively clean, condition, and wet a rigid gas permeable lens and a method therefor. The invention also relates to an eye irritation preservation system suitable for use with, for example, an over-the-counter and ophthalmic solution other than a contact lens, such as the ophthalmic pharmaceutical solution described above.
