Mixture is kept for 5-10 min, 0.01% solution of hydrogen peroxide is added, and resistance to cold of genotypes is determined by color change intensity for 20-60 s. Colorless is typical for cold resistant genotypes (0-1 point), light blue and blue for mean resistant genotypes (2-3 points) and dark blue for nonresistant to cold genotypes (4-6 points).
