The front body section has a passage enclosed by body frame sections, for a heat exchanger, esp. a radiator. There is at least one cross strut, extending across the passage (10) in the vehicle body, which serves as stiffening for the front body section. The strut is formed as a heat exchanger tube (5) with pipe connections (8, 9) at the ends. It is removably fastened to the body frame sections (1, 2) via fasteners (6, 7). USE - Heat exchanger tube acts as stiffener with non increase in vehicle body weight.
